Our Approach
We aim to provide a child-centered, positive and interactive experience for young children in a safe and nurturing environment. We will provide them with both educational and social tools that they require to thrive and enjoy their educational years ahead. Our vision is to become an example for high quality and progressive early education, providing our children with a learning experience that continues beyond the Learning Treehouse years. We work to empower children, promote individuality, and develop strong partnerships with families while creating an environment that helps young children attain physical, cognitive, social, and emotional achievements, preparing them for the next steps in life. We strive to create and promote strong partnerships with families and create a sense of community that is thoughtful, warm and compassionate. The Learning Treehouse promotes healthy lifestyles through nutritious, homemade meals and active, eco-conscious programs.

Sanja Savkovic
Founder & Head Educator
Sanja is a Licensed Teacher with the Ontario College of Teachers. She graduated from the Concurrent Education Program from the Wilfrid Laurier University and Nippissing University. During her education, she specialized in areas of ESL, Art, Geography, and History. She has completed Practicum (co-op) positions with various schools around the Waterloo Region and has experience teaching children from Kindergarten to Grade 6. During her Practicum experience, she had the opportunity to work with split classrooms, which is particularly beneficial for a daycare that will care for various age groups. Her Practicum highlight was the summer teaching at Camp Pride, working with children ages 6-12 years with or without special needs.
She has years of experience tutoring children of all ages to help them improve their age appropriate skills and make the most of their education. She speaks fluent English and Serbo-Croatian with a basic knowledge in French. She enjoys learning new languages and her next challenge will be to learn American Sign Language (ASL). She is creative, artistic and a patient educator and she aims to provide every child in her care with a fun and interactive learning environment to help them learn and grow.
